VT Ahead of The Times Vending Edition.
email news bulletin - January 22, 2008

DUBLIN, Ireland — Research and Markets has published a report entitled "Full-line Vending in the United States" that provides insight into the challenges facing the market, and opportunities that can help operators prosper by meeting the needs of a new economy. The Dublin research company said its report - which combines machine sales data, consumer surveys and market analysis - identifies the factors shaping the industry's future and suggests strategies for maintaining a competitive advantage. The report examines, for example, how dark chocolate, large candy bars and Hispanic/Southwestern food can reinvigorate sales; how the emergence of ice cream vending has affected frozen food sales; what is needed for vending to become more relevant in smaller workplaces; how age, race/ethnicity, and work status affect the use of vending machines; and why cashless payment systems will appeal to the same group most likely to pay more for snack food.
